3 quick easy ways to wear this popular fall trend

Velvet!

Fall’s richest fabric and the most stylish trend for 2016.  Not for you?  Think again with these easy ways to incorporate this versatile look into your wardrobe.

Start with a little…add a touch of velvet with a classic-cool black #choker.  This 90s staple is having a major comeback and what better way to try on this trend than with a chic velvet style.  Find yours here, here, and here.

Off the shoulder blouse with a thick choker is always a good combination:

Still not ready to full-on commit?  Just add a few more accents.  Try a swingy velvet cami, or velvet-trimmed #kimono in rich floral jewel tones that scream I’m-ready-for-fall.

Floral Velvet Crop Top

Find this gorgeous top at Forever21 here.  I also love the bright teal contrast with the delicious gold velvety trim of this woven kimono.  Or, for only $38, add a punch of rich color to an all-black ensemble with these velvet ankle-strap heels.

To keep the look no-fuss and effortless, go with a sleek solid mini dress and add minimal accessories a la Hailey Baldwin:

I’m in love with this pretty blush pink wrap dress (I’d toughen it up for fall with black ankle boots and a moto-jacket).  This crushed velvet option in #mauve amps up your fall staples in a surprisingly wearable light tone.  When temps begin to fall, try a cozy long-sleeved sheath in black velvet to keep up your fashion game comfortably.

How will you wear fall’s latest new staple?

  1. Good question! Looks like a very very light pink…unless the link is taking you to another option? I know Asos is selling out of this version quickly, but they had other colors…I wonder if the link is now taking you to what colors they have left in remaining stock. Ready for it to get cooler here in the midwest so we can start wearing these cozier fabrics!
